Welcome to my first JoeFitAsia Blog, which is dedicated to Gavin Alexander Lewis, Highline Athlete, travel photographer, and an awesome son.
A Highline is a slackline that is higher than 10 meters.
Highlining may well fall under the category of Extreme Wellness. It indeed entails mindfulness and mindful movement. It is a mindfulness practice that includes physical activity; instead of simply working out to master a skill or improve your condition, you can move and breathe in a way that shifts you from feeling busy to feeling strong and capable.
Gavin first found slackline during his van life in Australia, where some people were slacklining next to his van, and he asked if he could join. He got hooked straight away, which took him to the next level, Highlining in Tasmania and now New Zealand.
Check out his adventures below. Please don't miss out on the awesome freaking videos of Highlining and New Zealand with his team of friends from around the world: Carly from USA, Ramon from Brazil, and Picco from Argentina.
Gavin Alexander Lewis is a former Thai National Water Polo Team member, and Thai National Swimmer, winning the Bronze Medal in the 50-meter freestyle 27th SEA Games 2013 Myanmar. Gavin graduated from Assumption University Suvarnabhumi, Thailand with a degree in International Business.
